TDG celebrates its 107th anniversary

At the same time as the 107th anniversary, TDG Clamping Solutions inaugurated the new Mazak Vortex I-630V/6 machine with Palletech system during an event that took place at the TDG facilities on Friday, May 12.

Despite being one of the oldest companies in the Basque industrial sector, TDG continues to enjoy health and a constant vocation for growth and improvement, renewed after the change of brand from Talleres de Guernica to TDG Clamping Solutions. Change of brand that has been accompanied by a growth in the international vocation of the company, which already exports more than 60% of its production to more than 50 countries on the 5 continents, and in the continuous improvement of the production process, with continuous advances in organization and process management, and now also, in the productive means themselves.

As a consequence of this improvement, TDG was awarded at the end of 2022 as the best SME transformation by the prestigious company Sisteplant.

The Mazak Vortex I-630 is a state-of-the-art 5-axis machining center and has 12 parking stations, making it possible to work with the machine unattended during night and weekend shifts. An extra productive capacity that, as indicated by the president of the company, Enrique Guzman, comes to reinforce the job done by all the employees in recent years, reinforcing the idea of ​​a great family that surrounds all the successes of TDG .

The mayor of Gernika, Jose Mari Gorroño, also emphasized the incredible improvement of TDG, recalling his visit to the plant during its centenary, which he described as an enormous 7-year job to become a benchmark, of the region, but also globally.

The event was attended by more than 100 people including major shareholders, TDG’s closest day-to-day partner companies, suppliers, subcontractors, customers and banks, and of course, former employees of the company, who wanted to come and see the start of the new machine and enjoy a relaxed cocktail with friends.
