It’s not often that companies with just 50 employees are featured in prestigious magazines such as Cyberworld, published by Yamazaki Mazak — possibly the world’s leading machine tool manufacturer. TDG Clamping Solutions has had the honour of being featured in Issue 73 of the magazine, which is distributed across more than half of the globe.

TDG’s over 100-year history in the machine tool industry has undoubtedly drawn them in, and the excellent relationship between TDG and Mazak’s Spanish distributor, Intermaher, convinced the editors of CyberWorld to share TDG‘s story with their readers.

Issue No. 73 of CyberWorld details TDG’s experience in the machine tool industry and how acquiring a Vortex I630 palletising machine has transformed the way a century-old company works. Thanks to the new Mazak machine’s 12 pallets with a rotation capacity of up to 1 metre, TDG can now produce plates and components around the clock without the need for an operator, equating to an additional 7–9 shifts, depending on the type of part in the production queue.

This has enabled TDG to increase its production capacity and improve its delivery times and service levels. In parallel, and in collaboration with Mazak, TDG has used its experience to promote its own vertical plates and palletised tables. This product is exported by TDG worldwide through the majority of Mazak’s branches, and is also available to other manufacturers in sizes ranging from small diameters (400–500 mm) to pallets over 2 metres.
